Making Short Films

Agenda

This workshop provides tools and resources to make a short film by using Final Cut Pro. Attendees will create a full-featured movie with subtitles, background music, effects, etc. The making films workshop is divided into two part with agenda on the link below:

Workshop 1 (2/28/2018): at Digital Studio – 6pm 

By the end of this session, attendees will

  • Learn basic skills to make a short video
  • Learn how to edit color or effects of videos
  • Learn about music usage and copyright
  • Export different types of files

  1. Basic skills
  • Create new file with introduction and credits
  • Import library
  • Create a sequence of videos
  • Cut – Trim – Duplicate video
  1. Using effects and other utilities
  • Fx effects library
  • Customize effects by color/type
  • Adding subtitles
  1. Finding and using video sources
  • Introduce app to download YouTube
  • Music and copyright
  1. Exporting with different type
  • Export high resolution
  • Export with different types files

  • Zoom effects
  • Fast and forward effects
  • Create clone effects
